The 14-inch model comes with an M1 Pro chip supporting an 8-core CPU, 14-core GPU, 16Gb of unified memory and 512 GB SSD for storage.The 16-inch model comes with a bit high price, but with a more powerful M1 Pro chip packing a 10-core CPU, a 16-icore GPU, 16GB of unified memory, and 512 GB SSD for storage.
Design differentiation
The 16-inch MacBook is obviously physically larger than the 14-inch MacBook, with markedly bigger overall footprint. The new MacBook Pros have been designed to deliver better airflow than previous ones. The 14-inch model weighs 3.5 pounds and measures 1.31 x 8.71 x 0.61 inches. Display Sizes
The new Liquid Retina XDR display is the latest feature of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook 2021. The 14-inch Pro has a 14.2-inch mini-LED display with native resolution of 3024 x 1984 pixels, it delivers 254 pixels per inch. The display can achieve up to 1,000 nits of sustained brightness. The 16-inch Pro has a 16.4-inch mini-LED display with native resolution of 3456 x 2234 pixels, it delivers 254 pixels per inch. 16-inch MacBook offers High Power Mode 16-inch model offers a software feature called High Power Mode. It boosts the machine’s performance for intensive, sustained workloads. The mode is designed to optimize performance and to better support resource intensive tasks. However, the 14-inch model does not feature this High-Power Mode.
Battery Life and Charger type
The 14-inch model has a 70-watt-hour battery, while the 16-inch model offers a 100-watt-hour battery. Apple in terms of battery life claims, 14-inch MacBook can deliver up to 17 hours of battery life and 16-inch can deliver up to 21 hour of battery life. The MacBook Pro models are capable of fast charging. The 14-inch MacBook Pro uses a 67W or 96W USB-C power adapter, while the 16-inch model uses a 140W power adapter. The MacBook Models are somewhat similar with their features, but also have several different features. Both the models are worth buying!!
